On July 12 I experienced every parent's worst nightmare when I lost my youngest daughter Heather to a drug overdose. Heather was eager to read my memoir, The Truth, Find Your Own Truth. She died a few weeks before publication, but she wrote the last chapter, which goes at the very beginning as a dedication:
This book is dedicated to Heather. Heather blessed my life for 37 years, and gave me 3 wonderful grandchildren; Leah, Jada and Jason who she loved with all her heart.
